In the World Camp, there will be over 40 buses that transport more than 2,000 people. This poses a huge threat for bus drivers or foreigners who aren¡¯t knowledgeable about the roads or general proximity of the locations of the World Camp. Moreover, people will be riding the buses every day so volunteers will help in all ways related to the safe, quick and legal transportation of IYF participants. Volunteers will be the best resource of knowledge for local transportation shortcuts and caveats.
-When, and where?
From January 19th-23rd, volunteers will guide people and cars every morning according to the schedule that is in effect that day. Volunteers will need to be in their designated locations at their scheduled time to guide some cars or IYF participants that may be uninformed.
-Are there any qualifications for this part?
This position is ideal for male volunteers, but not mandatory. Volunteers need to be on time every morning beginning January 19th until the 23rd. Volunteers need to be fluent in English or Mandarin, while learning some simple Korean expressions. They will guide participants to and from the buses during the day¡¯s activities.
-What kinds of things will I be doing
Volunteers will guide foreign students when they tour Hong Kong. Volunteers will be allotted to each team or class and will be their ¡°local eyes and ears¡± making the Hong Kong experience more than just an average tour. During the free tour time you can take them to the favorite sights for locals or to other hot spots that are overlooked by most foreigners.
-When, and where?
From January 19th-21st, students will participate in outside activities in the afternoon. Volunteers will travel with them in these activities. We will go to Victoria Peak, Ocean Park, and the Hong Kong Museum of Art.

-Are there any qualifications for this part?
Volunteers should be knowledgeable about the local flavors and sights of Hong Kong so they can suggest locations for the IYF participants. For example, you should know where the famous places for shopping or eating are. It would be better if you are bilingual (able to speak Cantonese and either English or Korean) because most of the people in the marketplace speak Cantonese making it difficult for students who can¡¯t communicate in Cantonese.

-What kinds of things will I be doing?
VIP (very important people) guests will be attending certain events at the World Camp. Volunteers will escort them during these events to their designated seats, while making special and polite efforts to assist them with any of their concerns. VIP Escort Volunteers will be asked to be focus on the individual¡¯s experience just so they know that the IYF participants are thankful for their support and attendance. You will be escorting VIPs that will include: celebrities, international leaders, local leaders, local media, and others to be arranged in the future.

There are 3 big events that VIPs will be attending.? January 18th, 21st, and 22nd are days where volunteers will be escorting VIPs so volunteers need to be at the Asia World-Expo at least an hour before the event begins.

Volunteers will wear formal attire during their interaction with VIPs (dark or black suits for men, dresses or suits for women). Volunteers should be fluent in Cantonese and English. Also, you will need to have interpersonal skills that display good manners and politeness in order to facilitate friendly interaction between you and the VIPs.
(5) Medical Care
-What kinds of things will I be doing?
When participants run in the marathon, there is a possibility that someone might get hurt. Volunteers will assist with the pre-marathon medical preparations and will be ready to help injured participants during the marathon.
-When, and where?
On the morning of January 22nd, we are going to have a marathon that goes near and around Disney Park.
-Are there any qualifications for this part?
Volunteers need to arrive before 6am in order to help make the necessary preparations. Also, you should be studying medical science or nursing at your university or college.
-What kinds of things will I be doing?
At the World Camp, there will be an IYF pharmacy where volunteers will be able to assist with distribution of over-the-counter drugs and other services related to non-serious injuries or sicknesses. You will care for participants intermittently as they come to the pharmacy.
-When, and where?
The IYF pharmacy will be at a designated location at our camp site. Volunteers will be there, according to their scheduled times, from the start to the end of the camp.
-Are there any qualifications for this part?
It would be ideal if the volunteer is majoring in medical science, nursing or pharmacy at their university. Also, you should be conversationally fluent in English or Mandarin.
(6) Language Interpreter/Translator
There will be some people who cannot speak English and can only speak Cantonese. Volunteers will translate for them during the camp for lectures, instructions, group discussion, or even personal conversations.

(7) World Camp Event Reporter
-What kinds of things will I be doing?
Because the World Camp in a big international event we will be giving news reports to mass media outlets in Hong Kong. Volunteers will write news reports about certain events and send it to the media. You will be attending the various performances, lectures, activities and events to give a first-hand perspective for the local media. ?You are encouraged to interview attendees, guest speakers, performers, and local onlookers with the purpose of getting well-rounded insight into of the camp¡¯s purpose, people, and vision.
-When, and where?
Volunteers will be collecting information and writing news reports from the start of the camp until the end of the camp. You will be with participants in the camp during the various activities.
-Are there any qualifications for this part?
Volunteers should be fluent in English and Cantonese (knowing some Mandarin would be good too). You should enjoy writing and possibly have plans to be a journalist. You need to be available for the entire camp to gain a perspective of a participant as well as a reporter.
